Initial setup

Installing ISMS Home

Purpose

This step creates the Jira project “ISMS Home” (key ISMS) with all fields, statuses, issue types, screens and schemes, and then creates the 30 Jira filters plus the project permissions.

Who can do this

Jira administrators with a valid licence. Precondition: language, project type and responsible person are set (Language, project type and required entries).

Steps

  1. Open Setup & Configuration. In the Modules & content packs section you find the ISMS project card (ISMS Project or ISMS Service Project, depending on the chosen project type).
  2. Click Install — or Install now in the checklist.
  3. Wait, or close the page: the job continues on the server. The card shows a progress bar with the current step label (step labels are English-only, e.g. “Jira project ISMS — Screens (12/17)”, “Jira filters”, “Jira permissions”).

Expected result

  • The card switches to the badge ✓ Installed and gains an Open button that opens the project at …/browse/ISMS.
  • The sidebar footer now shows Open ISMS project ↗; dashboard, Explorer and the work areas are active.
Setup & Configuration: module cards with the “✓ INSTALLED” badge and the “Open”, “Update configuration” and “Uninstall” buttons — the demo content deliberately has no update button.

Verify

  • Open the project via Open — it contains the issue types from Domains and issue types.
  • Read any warnings on the card (see below) — they state in plain text what is missing and how to catch up.

If something goes wrong

  • Failed job: the card stays visible, shows “✕ <error text>” and offers Retry from failed step. The restart picks up exactly there — nothing is created twice.
  • No progress: if a job reports no progress for 15 minutes, the app marks it as failed itself — the retry button is then the right way forward.
  • Warnings despite success: if a step could only partially complete, the job still counts as successful, but the card shows “⚠ n warnings” with the full text of each message. Please read them before dismissing — afterwards the message can be closed via × (Dismiss message).
  • Language switched in between: if the app language was changed after the job started, the app refuses to resume and asks you to discard the job and start it again.

Completing the filters

Jira sometimes reports freshly created fields as unknown for hours — then not all 30 filters are created. In that case Setup shows the card “Complete filters” with the number of missing filters and the text “filters are missing in project ISMS Home. Jira reported the referenced fields as unknown while creating them — the field index can lag by hours…”

  1. Click Create missing filters now. During the run you may see “Waiting for Jira re-indexing”.
  2. Result: “✓ All filters are in place.” — or “⚠ n filters are still missing — Jira does not accept the fields yet. The daily run will try again.”

What happens next

Continue with Installing the Confluence space. The order is mandatory: first “ISMS Home” (including its filters), then Confluence.
