Initial setup
Installing the Confluence space
Purpose
This step creates the Confluence space “ISMS Home” (space key ISMSTK) with the complete documentation structure — 92 pages in the German edition including the ready-made document set, 58 pages in the English edition plus the “Controlled Documents” branch as an empty container. On 14 pages the app embeds its Jira filters as live tables.
Who can do this
Jira administrators with a valid licence. Precondition: the ISMS project is installed and its filter phase has finished (Installing ISMS Home).
Before you begin
Steps
- Open Setup & Configuration and locate the ISMS Confluence Toolkit card.
- Click Install. The job runs on the server; the card shows the progress.
Expected result
- The card shows ✓ Installed and an Open button (leads to
…/wiki/spaces/ISMSTK). - The hub sidebar now shows the Governance ↗ entry under Work areas, which opens the space.
- The overview page is set as the space home page; the space permissions are derived from the role register (Assigning roles and go-live checklist).

Verify
- Open the space and spot-check a few pages with live tables (e.g. risk scenarios) — the tables show Jira data instead of error messages.
- Check any warnings on the card (e.g. pages without Jira tables).
After app updates: update the configuration
Once installed, the card offers the button Update configuration: “Applies page templates and space permissions from the current app version. Pages someone has edited stay untouched — nothing is overwritten and nothing is deleted.” If the embedded Jira tables no longer match after changes, use the Confluence Smart Links card in Setup with Re-apply smart links (Ongoing configuration and maintenance).
What happens next
Continue with Content packs: Demo, ISO 27001, BSI, GDPR and Assigning roles and go-live checklist. For day-to-day work with the space see Using document control.
